Smalltember continues with perhaps the smallest movie we’ve ever covered, the bad movie new classic “A Talking Cat!?!” Meanwhile Stuart entertains the lizard representative of Harlem, Elliott gives helpful mnemonic devices for the major German directors, and Dan does some research into the pervy past of the movie’s creative team.

This movie is from Hunger. Eric Roberts sounds like he’s delivering his lines via voice male. Very literally,it’s that bad. And soooo badly cast.
The correct way to pronounce Haneke according to the Internet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-Xd6DkCvU
Interesting Elliott chooses “Trouble With the Curve” as the most average movie of all time. It stands at exactly 50% on RottenTomatoes. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/trouble_with_the_curve/
After this one, you really need to do Sherlock Bones now 🙂
You realize this is part of David DeCoteau’s Interrobang Trilogy which continues with A Talking Pony!?! and concludes with My Stepbrother is a Vampire!?! I suggest you watch the rest and report back. A Talking Pony!?! is currently on Netflix streaming under the title A Pony’s Tale.
It’s still better than “Cop Dog”.
My daughter watches this on Netflix all the time, she loves it. So my wife and I have had the pleasure of multiple viewings.
Dan jokes about a sequel?
Great. Why not “A Talking Cat!?! vs. Cop Dog”?(!?)
The T-Shirt Johnny Whitaker wears (with the Spanish quote) roughly says: “One fucking day at a a time.” Kid’s movie? Nice.
They had to know what it means.
Stupid, stupid Elliot’s letter songs. I love it every time =) Stuart’s accompaniment is nice too. Dan, touch the skull and join in!
Next time you have a guest, try and be the worst barber shop quartet ever! Seriously though, I love it. You guys are great.
This is one of my favorite episodes. But HO LEE SHIT, did they not do this movie’s insanity credit. I had something completely different in mind when imaging it. JonTron just did an episode on it, to give you a better example of how weird it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m76z5mgv5_A
