Instead of a wedding band, they should hire the Flophouse to live flop a movie during the reception.
Reminds me of that great old song by Fine Young Dannibals: “She Drives Me Floppy”
Enjoy La Belle Province, guys. Make sure to grab some poutine at some point.
CBGB=Country Blue Grass and Blues.
Yeah, dude. We know what CBGB stands for.
So, in Buck Rogers, is Twicky just saying the name of this club over and over again?
😉
I know. I wrote that at the beginning when you guys were being silly.
You know, Dan, out of all the Floppers, I share the closest musical tastes with you. I love Indy rock (New Pornographers, The Replacements, Arcade Fire to name a few) plus New Wave. Talking Heads is my favorite band of al time, probably.
I’d like to clarify the history of the Duck family tree. And yes I am also the person who wrote you an email about my love of Ducktales/all things Duck. Donald’s mother is Scrooge’s sister, Hortense McDuck: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_McDuck#Hortense_McDuck. She appears in The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa but I believe her character was invented by Carl Barks.
i’m so uncool; i would never have heard of CBGB if it hadn’t been mentioned in a talking heads song.
