It’s an emotional moment. This is the last regular episode where all three peaches will be in Dan’s apartment recording together, in the same space. It’s also the ten year anniversary of this dumb podcast’s existence. So how did we celebrate it? By taking a look at what was supposedly the worst movie back when we were growing up, Ishtar. Elliott vastly improves “Meet Dave,” Dan somehow misses some nudity, and Stuart talks about a “tug in his butt,” whatever that means. We’re gonna miss this, guys.

Sept. 9 – No Elliott, but with (hopefully) Ronny Chieng in New York at the Now Hear This Festival
Oct. 8 – The whole gang in Los Angeles, at the Regent Theater
Dec. 9 – The whole gang in San Francisco, at the Marines Memorial Theater
Ishtar is basically Spies Like Us, but with the comedy replaced by not comedy.
Btw: That’s not how this works, but I, for one, would like it if Hallie was the new regular host.
More empty-headed prequel griping from folks who think stuff like Guardians of the Galaxy and Logan are masterpieces, right on cue.
They are shitty movies that do as bad a job of telling their ostensible story as possible. Marvel aims low but at least hits.
Nobody, not on this podcast anyway, claimed those movies were masterpieces. They liked them, and recommended them, but never did they say “this is a masterpiece.”
“Logan,” being a sequel in name only, is at least a quality stand-alone movie. “Guardians of the Galaxy,” being an expansion of a series of interconnected films is at least a quality stand-alone movie. The “Star Wars” prequels build and conflict with an already existing, beloved series of films, and tells a story that cheapens one of cinema’s greatest villains. So how you came to use ‘Logan’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ as your cannon fodder to complain about people offering their opinions on films on a comedy podcast is petty.
Wow, really latched onto those 5 seconds of prequel discussion, huh?
So sad … Thanks for the 10 years! Keep on floppin’.
I got into you guys when AV Club mentioned your (then new) Oogieloves episode in a post and never looked back. I wish that your Toronto show wasn’t sold out. Make sure to make another trip up here, soon! Cheers to 10 years!
Congrats on 10 years!

Speaking of Stealth, whatever happened to that first episode?

Congrats on a decade of flopping! LeBron James would be proud…
Seeing as this has come up in multiple episodes now, I figure with the recommendation of Robin Hood it’s a good time to speak up: You guys are aware furries are a fandom and not necessarily a fetish, right? A fursuit isn’t a sex toy people walk around with out in public. Regardless, I appreciate the attempted awareness and look forward to another 10 years (because that future themesong remix is sweet).
Remember the hype about how the Aki model from The Spirits Within was supposed to be reused in other CGI features as a “virtual actress”? What a time that was.
Pretty cool. I didn’t even realize the podcast anniversary is also my birthday. Fitting for the last standard episode for a while too.
